Dr. Marina Ivančić is a board-certified veterinary radiologist and a leading expert in marine mammal and zoological diagnostic imaging.  She has worked with marine mammals since 1998, pioneered the field of marine mammal radiology in 2008, and in 2016, became the first and only radiologist to work full-time at a zoo.  Dr. Ivančić (pronounced Even-cheech) was an on-site clinical radiologist at Chicago Zoological Society for four years, acquiring unparalleled hands-on experience, and simultaneously led a global radiology consulting service for zoos and aquaria.  Dr. Ivančić founded ZooRadOne in 2021, which provides teleradiology and on-site diagnostic imaging support for facilities internationally.  She is frequently invited to speak at veterinary, zoological, and radiological meetings and has published extensively in these domains.  She loves to teach and loves to talk.  Originally from Croatia, Marina grew up in the US and lives outside Chicago. Dolphins hold a special place in her heart.
